About our Line

Canin is our Foundation Dog; he was everything that a Dane should be and more. He never needed a stitch of training, loved everyone he met, and never had a mean bone in his body. My husband Tod rescued him when he was a year old. He was on a chain as long as his body, and didn’t have any shelter at all. He could barley lay down, had no food or water, and was in a field that was over grown above his head!

As soon as Tod saw him, he knew he had to bring him home. Once he got him home, they soon became inseparable. Needless to say, when I met Tod, I also met Canin, and he was my friend from then on too. We searched high and low for our female to go with him, she was Grace.

Grace had great personality to match his. Between them both, they threw some wonderful babies. Both Canin and Grace have left us now, but we have their line to carry on... Our Mia is their grand daughter, and our puppies from her, is our 4th generation. We know their history and health. They all have lived pretty good lives, as the average of a Dane is only 8 yrs; ours has been going on till about 10 to 13 yrs. We have not had any hip, bloat, or eye problems with them.

We have been raising Danes for about 7 yrs now and they are getting better all the time. Our Sasha that we kept out of Mia and Rufus’s first litter is now bigger than the two of them, and she still has 2 more years to grow! I can’t wait to see the lovely lady that she will grow to be.

Puppies

Our puppies are raised in our home with love and attention everyday. They are socialized from an early age, by our 3 children, ages 3, 6, and 10, and also from their friends and the other adults in our family. There is not an hour that goes by, that someone is not touching them or talking to them. We are very careful about their joints, because large breeds need special attention. They are all raised up on Red Flannel Prime, which has natural Glucosamine. It is a very good quality food. The puppies also get wormed every two weeks from birth, and get their first set of shots before leaving for their new homes. None of our puppies are allowed to leave before they are 8 weeks old. Not only because this is the State law, but also because I want to make sure they get the best start possible, and I believe they are not ready before that time! If they stay until they are 9 weeks, then they will also get their second set of shots.
